Day 1. Arrive Broome, Gibb River Road, Tunnel Creek, Windjana Gorge

Your day starts with a visit to the fascinating Boab Prison Tree. Journey along the Gibb River to Windjana Gorge and Tunnel Creek. Later, continue to Fitzroy Crossing.

Day 2. Geikie Gorge, Purnululu National Park

Travel to Geikie Gorge National Park and explore magnificent Darngku Geikie Gorge. Head to Halls Creek, before arriving at Purnululu National Park. Later, settle into the tranquil Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge and enjoy a sensational dinner here.

Day 3. Purnululu National Park, Piccaninny Creek, Cathedral Gorge

Explore the magic of Purnululu for yourself and discover the depth of the Bungle Bungle Range. Walk along Piccaninny Creek, a winding gorge within the Bungle Bungle domes. Your next stop is the natural amphitheatre of Cathedral Gorge, a spacious cavern where the acoustics are astounding. Marvel at the majestic beehive domes as your guide brings the natural history of the range to life. You may like to experience an optional scenic helicopter flight over the domes - own expense. This evening, enjoy drinks as the sun sets over the striking domes of the Bungle Bungle Range.

Day 5. Ord River, Kununurra, El Questro Wilderness Park

Day 6. Emma Gorge, Home Valley Station

Day 7. Manning Gorge, Galvans Gorge, Gibb River Road

At beautiful Manning Gorge, you’ll enjoy lunch in the shade of paperbark trees. Continue to Galvans Gorge, where a short walk leads to a picturesque waterhole. Inspect the Wandjina rock art on the gorge walls and take a leisurely swim. Later, arrive at Bell Gorge Wilderness Lodge for dinner.

Day 8. Bell Gorge, Hiking and Swimming

Activity Level

  • A good level of fitness and health is required to participate in APT’s holiday packages.  Some sightseeing excursions will involve the climbing of stairs and walking over uneven surfaces and in some cases walking over rocks and through shallow streams.
